The Dartmouth Historical and Arts Society is set to resume its Sunday afternoon lecture series on Sunday, Aug. 21 with a program celebrating local storyteller Carlton “Cukie” Macomber who died earlier this year at the age of 94.

The lecture will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Russells Mills Schoolhouse and will be moderated by Howard Gifford, a longtime friend and coworker of Macomber.

Presenters will share their many fond memories of Macomber and his tales.

The event is open to the public and a $5 donation is suggested. Light refreshments will be served.
