How to become a dog whisperer
The Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust will host a lecture on dog’s behavior in the woods on Thursday, February 23 at 6 p.m. at its Helfand Farm headquarters.
Dog trainers from Harmonious Hounds will discuss dog psychology on the trail, including how to successfully recall your dog in the face of common outdoor distractions, such as other dogs, people, and wildlife.
There will be free pizza and door prizes, and the presentation from Harmonious Hounds will be followed by a screening of the 45 minute documentary "Dog Dazed." The film celebrates our love affair with canines and encourages a new relationship that values the environment, neighbors, and the human-dog interaction.
Door prizes include a $35 boarding gift certificate from Paws ‘N’ Play Doggy Daycare, an hour-long private training session with Harmonious Hounds valued at $60, one-hour grooming session from the Humane Society SouthCoast, and a gourmet dog food basket from JC Wagmore.
