Info session on school's new emergency management plan

Jan 12, 2017

An informational meeting is planned to help parents understand Dartmouth Public Schools' new emergency management protocols.

Among the changes parents will learn about: a bomb threat assessment system used to evaluate if school closures are necessary, the difference between traditional lockdowns (which are being phased out) and the A.L.I.C.E. – alert, lockdown, inform, counter, evacuate – response to potential intruder situations, and new terminology.

The meeting is scheduled for March 28 at Dartmouth Middle School, 6-8 p.m.

The district unveiled the new plans in October.
