Jeffrey A. Furtado, 59

Oct 16, 2023
It is with great sadness that the family of Jeffrey A. Furtado, 59 of South Dartmouth announce his passing.  This unexpected event reminds us to use our time to reflect on our own life.  He lived with profound opinions which were a hallmark of his being although typically unpopular and misunderstood.  Graduated Dartmouth High School 1981, employed by King Lumber and various local lumber yards; Jeff obtained his CDL and Hoisting license continuing his career as a truck driver for multiple companies always finding his way back to Morgado Asphalt Company, where he was treated like family.

He is survived by his brother Kevin Furtado and his wife Cheryl, a sister Dr. Cathleen Burns and her husband Michael, nieces Haley and Kaitlyn Furtado all of Acushnet.  Predeceased by his parents Arnold and Ellen Furtado of South Dartmouth.  In his free time, he enjoyed relaxing in the mountains, taking in ocean views and trying his luck at the casino.  In memory, reach out to loved ones and learn to be a better version today than we were yesterday, as tomorrow isn't guaranteed.

Jeffrey's funeral will be Friday, 9:00 at the funeral home, with a funeral service to be conducted at 10:00.  Visiting hours Thursday evening from 5:00-8:00.
