Kaye Farrell, 81

Kaye Farrell, 81, of New Bedford, passed away on June 8, 2019 after a brief illness.

Born in New Bedford to John and Virginia Clauretie, she lived in New Bedford and South Dartmouth for most of her life.

Kaye was a graduate of Holy Family High School in New Bedford and St. Bonaventure University in Olean, New York, where she received a bachelor’s degree in business. She worked as a buyer for major Manhattan department stores, then taught at an elementary school in Fairhaven for 28 years.

Kaye was an avid golfer, playing regularly from early adulthood until the last few years of her life and competing in many tournaments at her favorite courses, Emerald in Dartmouth and Heritage Hill in Lakeville. She was also passionate about antiques, and for a brief time owned and operated her own shop, Curios and Collectibles, in Padanaram Village in South Dartmouth. She regularly had space set up at flea markets and antique shows throughout the northeast.

Kaye is survived by her loving longtime companion, William Lima, of New Bedford; her son, Mark and his wife, Heri, of Maryland; her brother, Terrence, sister-in-law, Patricia, two nephews, Sean and Kevin, and great-niece Audrey, all of Nevada; and friends.
