Land trust announces greeting card photo contest

Apr 27, 2020

Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust has announced its first annual greeting card photo contest to replace their usual calendar contest.

According to a press release from the land trust, 12 winning photographs from this year’s challenge will be chosen to adorn the faces of a set of greeting cards, which DNRT will sell. The cards will be published this September. Proceeds from the sale will benefit land conservation.

Entrants may submit up to eight photos to DNRT by Sunday, August 16. Photographs must be taken on or of a DNRT property and can feature agricultural lands, forests, lakes and rivers, coastal dunes, salt marshes, recreation trails, historic sites, wildlife, and people enjoying or using the land. Images from all seasons are welcome.

High-resolution photographs can be emailed to kendra@dnrt.org with the subject “DNRT Photo Contest.” Submissions should include the photographer’s name, address, phone number, where the photos were taken, and any comments the entrant would like to share about the photo.

The entrant must be the sole author and owner of the copyright in all photos entered. Although photographers retain complete copyright over their image, they grant DNRT a royalty-free right to use, display, and reproduce the image for purposes of publication in all media.
