Learn about metabolic health

On Thursday, Jan. 12, at 6:30 p.m., the Friends of the Dartmouth Libraries will host obesity specialist Dr. Kevin Gendreau as he explains how metabolic health directly impacts our weight and quality of life. 

He’ll also discuss his own 125 lb. weight loss, share tips, techniques, and strategies for common struggles, and answer questions. 

Gendreau, who held a talk at the North Branch Library this past spring,  earned his bachelor’s degree at Boston University before completing his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed residencies in Family Medicine at Cambridge Health Alliance and Carney Hospital through Tufts University.

He has also received an Honorarium for Prostate Cancer Research from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. 

Gendreau is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine and is board certified in obesity medicine by the American Board of Obesity Medicine.

The  presentation will be held at the Southworth Library at 732 Dartmouth St.
