The Friends of the Dartmouth Libraries will be hosting a virtual talk on raised bed gardening on Thursday, June 24 at 6:30 p.m.

Kate Donovan, Garden Coach from Blackstone Valley Veggie Gardens, will discuss how to become a more efficient gardener by teaching ways to lengthen your growingseason and maximize your output, all while preserving resources.

As the founder of a 69,000-member Facebook gardening group called “Vegetable, Fruit, Herbs and Flower Gardening,” Donovan helps people grow food through lectures, garden planning, soil testing, tilling, and building raised beds.

Donovan maintains seven extra-long raised beds, considers her home her horticulture laboratory, and tries new varieties and techniques every year.

This virtual presentation requires pre-registration at at tinyurl.com/DartmouthSustainable. Audience members must sign up with an email address to receive a Zoom code.
