Attend a presentation by Boston Globe TV critic Matthew Gilbert on Sunday, March 30 at 3 p.m. at UMass Dartmouth.

Gilbert has written for “The Boston Globe” since 1987 where he’s done features about books, television, movies and pop culture.

In 1997 when his weekly column focused on television, Gilbert reviewed shows such as “Deadwood,” “NYPD: Blue,” “The Sopranos” and “Six Feet Under.”

When television started shifting to cable and streaming services, Gilbert explored shows that could create deeper, more complex characters, such as “Breaking Bad.”

Gilbert’s column curated a viewing list for readers and analyzed the plot lines, characters and cliffhangers that have become discussion topics for many fans.

Those interested can register online on the UMass Dartmouth website. A $10 donation is suggested.

The event will take place in the Library Grand Reading Room at the Claire T. Carney Library on the UMass Dartmouth campus at 285 Old Westport Road.

Parking will be available in lot 13.
