ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Off-Leash Recreation Area
Sealed bids for construction of the Off-Leash Recreation Area Project will be received by the Town of Dartmouth Town Administrator at the Dartmouth Town Hall, Town Administrator’s Office, 400 Slocum Road, Massachusetts 02747 until 1:00 PM prevailing time, Monday, April 28, 2025. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at 1:30 PM prevailing time, Monday, April 28, 2025, at the Town Hall Conference Room #301, 400 Slocum Road, Dartmouth, Massachusetts 02747.
All bidders will be notified of the apparent low bidder. All bidding procedures will be in accordance with the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M inclusive as amended.
Bid Documents, including Details and Specifications for the proposed work, may be obtained electronically on and after April 3, 2025. To obtain electronic copies of the plans and specifications send a request by email to G.A.F. Engineering, Inc., Robert Rogers, Project Manager, at bob@gafenginc.com.
There will be a pre-bid site meeting at the project location, 433 Old Fall River Road, Dartmouth, MA on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 1:00 PM. Questions and comments shall be completed in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
The Project value is estimated to be $400,000. The Project is expected to commence on or about June 1, 2025, and be substantially complete no later than September 30, 2025. The project shall be fully completed by October 31, 2025.
Bid Deposits shall be submitted in the amount of 5% of the bid price including any alternates. The Bid Deposit shall be made payable to the Town of Dartmouth and shall be in the form of a bid bond issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
The successful general bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each of which shall be in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.
Prevailing Wages, as determined under M.G.L. c. 149, § 26-27H shall apply on this project. Materials, equipment and supplies used on this project are exempt from sales tax to the extent provided by M.G.L. c. 64H, § 6(f). The Town of Dartmouth also reserves the right to waive any informalities or reject any and all proposals if it deems such rejection(s) to be in the best interest of the Town.
