SPECIAL DISTRICT MEETING WARRANT

NOTICE is hereby given that a Special District Meeting of Dartmouth Fire District No. 1 will be held at the Engine House, 10 Bridge Street, Dartmouth, Massachusetts on Wednesday, November 9, at 6:30 P.M., Then and there to act on the following Article.

ARTICLE: 1 To see if the District will appropriate $7,000,000. or any other amount, to pay costs of adding to the District fire station, including, but not limited to demolishing and removing the existing single story office area and basement, and designing, constructing and equipping a two story addition and basement in the same general area, including the payment of all costs incidental and related thereto; to determine whether this appropriation shall be raised by borrowing, transfer from funds or otherwise provided, or take any other action relative thereto.

Explanation: This article would authorize the Prudential Committee to appropriate $7,000,000. for the Station Expansion Project. To meet this appropriation, the Prudential Committee anticipates transferring $500,000. from stabilization funds, transferring $1,000,000. from certified free cash and borrowing $5,500,000.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

Notice is hereby given that a meeting will be held in accordance with the provisions of the Dartmouth Wetlands Protection Bylaw and M.G.L., Ch. 131, §40, the Wetlands Protection Act, on the Notice of Intent from Charles Ashdown to demolish the existing home and construct a new one in its place. The new home will be located in the Buffer Zone to a Bordering Vegetated Wetland, the Buffer Zone to a Salt Marsh, and on a Barrier Beach in Land Subject to Coastal Storm Flowage on land described as Map 87 Lot 15 or 14 Smith Avenue in Dartmouth. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 in Room 103 at the Dartmouth Town Hall, 400 Slocum Road in Dartmouth and all interested parties should be present at that time. With the extended Governors Emergency Order being further extended, the meeting will be held remotely.
