Lloyd Center to host 25th annual New Year's walk

The Lloyd Center for the Environment will be hosting its 25th annual New Year's Day walk on Friday, Jan. 1 at 10 a.m.

Research Director Mark Mello will be leading the group through Gooseberry Neck beach. The meeting place for the walk is the Gooseberry Neck parking lot at 11:45 a.m. Mellow will be focus on coastal ecology and winter waterfowl.

No pre-registration is required, and the event is free.

Participants should dress warmly and wear hiking boots. Binoculars and cameras are recommended as well.
