On Aug. 28, the Lloyd Center for the Environment is hosting a ladies night out — out on the water.

From 5:30 to 8 p.m., Liz Moniz will lead a group of women around the waters of Slocum River. Participants can expect a small hike through the woods before arriving at the boat launch.

All equipment will be provided, but the center recommends bringing along a non-alcoholic beverage.

Pre-registration through the Lloyd Center’s website is required by 4 p.m. on Aug. 27. The program costs $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers. There is a 12-person limit on this excursion.
