Louis Bonas, 87, of Dartmouth died on March 19, 2020 at Charlton Memorial hospital with his children by his side.

He was born on April 23, 1932. He and his brothers Larry and Leonard were the first set of triplets in history born in Newport, Rhode Island. He was the son of the late Mary Rocha Bonas & Enos Bonas.

He was the devoted husband to the late Eleanor Sylvia Bonas for 52 years. They were true soulmates, a once in a lifetime love that created a beautiful family filled with love, kindness & laughter. They had two children, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was a decorated police detective for the town of Dartmouth for 30 years and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was an avid sports fan; he loved the Patriots and the Red Sox. He enjoyed driving around in the convertible with his late wife and going to yard sales. Saturday mornings with his best friend Kenny, scratch tickets and shopping on QVC. Most importantly, he loved being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren more than anything else. He was loved by so many and will be forever missed.

Survivors include his son Robert Bonas of Dartmouth, his daughter Jane Shea and her husband Justin Shea of Lakeville. His Grandchildren Krystal Cabral of Dartmouth, the late Andrew Cabral Sr. And his wife Elizabeth Cabral of Dartmouth, Ashley Colmenares and her husband Alberto Colmenares of Connecticut. Great grandchildren Kaylin Cabral, Arjay Colmenas, Andrew Cabral Jr., Kylianna Imbeau & Ellie Cabral. A brother, James Bonas of Rhode Island, and the late George, Enos, Lawrence, Leonard Bonas and sister Evelyn Moniz.
