Maria A. Walsh, 94, originally of New Bedford, passed away on Thursday, July 25 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. She was the beloved wife of the late Carroll D. Walsh and the daughter of the late Tomaz and Maria do Lurdes (Costa) Da Camara. 

Maria was born in Matriz, St. Michael, Azores and moved to this country in 1961. She worked as a floor lady for Paul Modes for many years until her retirement. She was also a member of the Hedwig Seniors. 

She is survived by one sister, Eduarda Alves of New Bedford; two nephews, Frank Camara and Ken Walsh; as well as, several other nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Pete E. Walsh and the sister of the late Jose Camara and Jacinto Camara. 

Maria’s visiting hours were held Sunday evening. Her funeral was held Monday morning, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial in St. John Cemetery.
