Wake up and smell the coffee.

Massachusetts-based coffee chain Marylou’s Coffee will soon have a Dartmouth location, a spokesperson for the company said.

The coffee shop will be located inside the Mobil gas station, on Faunce Corner Road between Cross Road and I-195, and will include a drive-through window.

Bill McDonough, a public relations representative for Marylou’s, said that the company does not yet have a definitive opening date for the new location, but hopes it will be serving up coffee within “the next several weeks.”

“It’s out of our control,” said McDonough, citing permits that need to be approved and renovations that need to be completed. “We’ll get our end done as soon as possible.

The coffee shop serves a variety of pastries and breakfast items in addition to coffee and specialty drinks.

“I like the regular coffee but there’s a lot of fun combinations,” said McDonough, noting the Red Bull infusions and “Funky Fanabla” — a mix of all the flavored coffees.

Marylou’s currently has 40 locations across Massachusetts and Rhode Island, McDonough said.

The company is still owned by its founder, Marylou Sandry, who started the company in Hanover, Mass. in 1986.
