New Bedford man arrested for involvement in Dartmouth home break-in

Dartmouth Police arrested a New Bedford man on August 15 for his connection to a house break-in.

Lino Simoes, 43, of New Bedford, was arrested for his alleged involvement in a Dartmouth home break-in on August 7.

Dartmouth officer David Oikarinen and Detective Kyle Costa led the investigation. The state police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section (VFAS) assisted in the arrest.

“This arrest was a direct result of the public’s willingness to step forward and assist the police department in making certain that the security of their neighborhoods remain intact,” said acting Chief Brian Levesque.

Police posted photographs allegedly of the Cove Road break-in suspect on the department's Facebook page. The post was shared 560 times.
