New Bedford man charged with meth trafficking

A New Bedford man was arrested for allegedly trafficking methamphetamine in town, Dartmouth Police announced Tuesday.

Police said they, along with state police detectives and officers from Bristol County Sheriff’s Department, executed a search warrant on the home of 46-year-old Jose Manuel Santos Cordova at 10:30 a.m.

During a search of the Brock Street residence, police said detectives seized methamphetamine, steroids, and mushrooms. Officers also reported finding a stored firearm and approximately $1,800 in cash.

According to police, there were children present at the time of the search. The state’s Department of Children and Families was notified and responded to the residence.

As a result of the incident, Santos Cordova, was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a Class C drug, possession of a Class E drug, improper storage of a firearm, and three counts of reckless endangerment to a child.
