Nor’easter expected to impact Dartmouth through Wednesday night

A Nor’Easter is expected to blow through Dartmouth starting Tuesday and lasting through Wednesday night.

According to the National Weather Service, a flood watch is currently in effect through 8 p.m. on Wednesday, and a high wind warning will be in effect until 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

Northeast winds 25 to 35 mph are expected, with gusts up to 60 mph. Winds could blow down trees and power lines, causing widespread power outages. Travel may be difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles.

Winds are expected to peak Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Up to 2 to 4 inches of rain are expected, which could cause flooding of roads, especially in low-lying areas. Flooding is expected to particularly impact the Tuesday evening commute.
