Parking ban issued ahead of winter storm

The Dartmouth Department of Public Works has announced a parking ban in effect from 8 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 7 through noon on Monday, Feb. 8 due to expected snowfall from a winter storm.
No parking will be allowed on the hydrant side of streets. If there is no hydrant, residents should park on the even house numbered side.
The announcement comes as a National Weather Service winter storm warning remains in effect in the southeastern Massachusetts region from 7 a.m. Feb. 7 until 1 a.m. Feb. 8., with snowfall of 5-9 inches and wind gusts as high as 40 mph expected.
Heavy, wet snow is expected Sunday afternoon and could bring possible power outages, according to the weather service.
