Pet CPR, first aid class planned

The Dartmouth Dog Advisory Work Group is hosting a fundraiser Pet CPR and First Aid training class to help people learn how to help pets in emergencies.

The class will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24 at Westport Town Hall Annex Building, 856 Main Road, Westport.

 Taught with a “real world” approach by a 30-year pre-hospital emergency medical care provider and educator, the training is geared toward pet parents, pet care professionals, and animal rescue volunteers. The course includes lecture, demonstration and an emphasis on hands-on skills practice to ensure proficiency in the lifesaving skills that will be taught. 

Cost is $65 and includes a detailed handbook, certificate of completion and emergency muzzle. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Dartmouth Dog Advisory Work Group in their mission.
