DARTMOUTH — Socks and underwear rank in the top five items requested by the homeless.

An effort being supported by Dartmouth Police is underway to help fill that need.

The police have a donation bin at the station at 1390 Tucker Road through April 13.

The station is open 24/7 so donations can be accepted any time. The department is hoping to fill the bin several times over.
