The police department’s traffic safety division is asking parents dropping their kids off at Dartmouth Middle Schools to no longer stage on Slocum Road south of Hawthorne Street.

The request comes as police say traffic supervisors have been dealing with issues from motorists at the beginning of the school day.

Instead, police request that parents and others line up cars to pick up and drop off students on Hawthorne Street itself.
