Polling locations for Precincts 1 and 9 changed for primary election

Aug 25, 2020

Two Dartmouth polling location have changed for the primary election on Sept. 1, after the Select Board voted to approve the move on Aug. 24.

Officials stated the change was necessary due to health and safety requirements during the pandemic. The changes are as follows:

Precinct 1 - Moving to the North Branch Library, 211 Cross Road

Precinct 9 – Moving to the Senior Citizen Center (Council on Aging), 628 Dartmouth Street

Officials will post physical signs at the old and new locations and will also be doing a reverse 911 call to let residents know about the change.

Formerly at the First Church of Hixville on North Hixville Road, the Precinct 1 polling location was changed because the church was too small to provide for safety measures. Precinct 9 was formerly located at the Fire District 2 station house on Russells Mills Road.
