Sep 25, 2018

The Southworth Library will host an interactive session with Dr. Laura Bailet, to learn how to build a foundation for reading success beginning at birth, on Wednesday, October 3, from 10:45 to 11:30 AM. Dr. Bailet is a nationally known child development expert and currently Chief Academic Officer of Kaplan Early Learning Company. Dr. Bailet has expertise in dyslexia and autism and is currently a member of the Library of Congress Literacy Awards Board. During this session you will learn building blocks for future reading success, tips for choosing books to read, ways to make reading fun, and how to know if your child is on track. All who read with children are welcome- as are children! This event will take place in the Elsie Haskell Room at Southworth Library, 742 Dartmouth St. The session is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Friends of Dartmouth Libraries.
