Lace up those hiking shoes and run — or walk — the trails of Destruction Brook Woods for an important cause.

Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust’s annual Trail Race is back, and will take place this year on November 2.

The annual event raises funds for the land trust’s mission of protecting Dartmouth’s natural resources, and will take runners and walkers through DNRT’s largest and most popular reserve, Destruction Brook Woods.

Two race courses are offered: A 3.3-mile run, and a 2.4-mile walk. Both routes ramble through the wooded trails of the Woods.

Start times are 11 a.m. for runners, and 11:15 a.m. for walkers. Free post-race pizza and beer will be served at the conclusion of the race.

Spectators are welcome to cheer on runners and walkers at the start and finish lines.

The costs to register for the 3.3-mile run is $25 for DNRT members and $35 for non-members.  The cost to register for the walk is $20.

To register, and for more information, visit dnrt.org/event/trailrace/.

Destruction Brook Woods is located at 160 Slades Corner Rd.
