Safely dispose of household hazards on drop-off day

Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Day is a no-cost opportunity to safely dispose of up to 25 pounds (or 25 gallons) of common hazards, including pesticides, paint thinners and old gasoline.
Stop by Crapo Hill Landfill on Saturday, May 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., 300 Samuel Barnet Boulevard, New Bedford.
Latex paints or waste accepted at transfer stations, such as antifreeze, fluorescent light bulbs, mercury-containing devices, motor oil, propane (or other) tanks or cylinders, TVs or computer monitors, will not be accepted.

The event will take place at Crapo Hill Landfill and is limited to households from New Bedford, Dartmouth and Freetown. ID is required. The collection will not be accepted from schools, businesses or contractors.
