Schools to begin free grab and go meal program

Mar 20, 2020

Dartmouth Superintendent of Schools Bonny Gifford announced this week that the schools will start a free “Grab and Go” meal program on Monday, March 23 while schools remain closed due to coronavirus.

“A two-day supply of breakfast and lunch items will be available for drive-thru pickup on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Quinn Elementary School,” she said in an address broadcast on Dartmouth Community TV and Youtube.

The school system is offering online resources and learning opportunities via its extended learning website, sites.google.com/dartmouthschools.org/dps-extended-learning.

Materials on the website are broken down by grade level, and include social-emotional and special education learning opportunities as well.

“We will continue to provide frequent updates via email, phone calls and texts, and our Facebook page,” Gifford noted.

Updates will also be posted to the Dartmouth schools website, dartmouth.school.
