Senior living residents celebrate Tom Brady's return

Oct 11, 2016

Before New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady returned from suspension on October 9, residents at Autumn Glen senior living facility enjoyed a week-long celebration of everything Pats.

Throughout the week, Autumn Glen residents decorated a scarecrow with Patriots attire, had Patriots-themed lunches, and played football-themed games, said Melinda Silva, Autumn Glen’s Marketing Director.

“We have a lot of football fans here,” Silva said. “[Residents] loved it. We had so much fun.”

On October 7, residents concluded the week with a tailgate party featuring a cookout, football squares, a football toss, corn hole games, and more.

The lunch menu featured themed food, including “Do Your Job Chili” and a pulled pork sandwich titled "The #12 Special."

Silva said the facility planned the week’s events in response to the number of football fans who live there, and the excitement building with Brady’s return.
