Dartmouth police detectives arrested a Chase Road resident on Tuesday, October 15 for failing to register with the department as a level three sex offender.

According to a statement issued on Wednesday by police, Steven Oldrid, 64, of 292 Chase Road was arrested after an investigation determined that he had been living in Dartmouth for several months without registering as a sex offender.

Dartmouth police worked with members of the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Unit to make the arrest.

Level three sex offenders are those deemed to have a high risk of offending again.
