Shed fire causes upward of $350,000 worth of damage
A fire on Pine Island Road on Dec. 13 has left a Dartmouth homeowner dealing in hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of damage.
According to Dartmouth Fire District No. 3, the fire was reported at 11:51 a.m. after the homeowner noticed heavy smoke coming from the structure.
Upon arrival, fire crews saw heavy flames from the shed, which contained multiple vehicles and construction equipment. By 1:10 p.m., the fire was under control.
No injuries were reported, but the fire caused an estimated $300,000 to $350,000 to the property.
An engine from Freetown and a tanker from Westport tanker were on scene for assistance. Dartmouth Fire District No.1 and District No.2 were assigned to station coverage.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
