The Department of Public Works has announced that the intersection of Smith Neck Road and Gulf Road will reopen on Friday, June 9 at 4 p.m.

The area has been closed full-time since last August, as construction crews worked to fix structural issues on the Padanaram Causeway. The causeway is scheduled for reopening in June 2018.

The intersection opening was originally scheduled for June 5, but was pushed back.
