South Coast Artists to host open studio tours

On July 16 and 17 and August 20 and 21 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., South Coast Artists will host tours of local artist studios in Dartmouth and other neighboring towns.

The tours will feature about 75 artists with 15 of them located in Dartmouth. For a full list of participating artists and a map of their studios, see the attached brochure.

The Dartmouth-based artists include:

Robert Abele III, an oil painter specializing in plein-air landscapes of New England. His studio is located at 25 Robert St.

Bruce Bailey, a mixed media artist whose work features paintings, prints and sculptures. His studio is located at 800 Division Road.

Eric Lintala, a sculptor who uses steel, bronze, paper, and fiberglass in his work. His studio is also located at 800 Division Road.

Marianne Boucher, an oil and acrylic painter specializing in scenic and nature paintings of the South Coast. Her studio, The Vintage Barn Art Studio, is located at 4 Paquette Drive.

Jane Bregoli, a multimedia artist whose works include oil and watercolor paintings, ceramics, and etchings. Her studio, Four Skylight Studio, is located at 89 Sharp St.

Lisa A Busnengo, an abstract acrylic artist. Her studio is located at 1167 Russells Mills Road.

Susan Cabral, an oil and acrylic painter specializing in boats, water, and landscapes. Her studio is located at 31 Utica Lane.

Ronnie Gould, a ceramic artist specializing in stoneware animals. Located at 63 Beach Ave. This studio will only be open during the August tours.

Ilene Richard, an acrylic painter. Also located at 63 Beach Ave. This studio will only be open during the August tours.

Barbara Edlund Healy, an oil and acrylic painter whose works “reflect the quiet beauty of coastal New England.” Her studio is located at 61 White Oak Run.

Genevieve Hunt, a watercolor and pastel artist specializing in New England land and seascapes. Her studio is located at 8 Sunset Lane.

Kim M Barry, an oil painter and potter whose works include plein-air and still life paintings as well as pottery and tiles. Her studio, Kim Barry Painter/ Clay Trout Pottery, is also located at 8 Sunset Lane.

John P Powel, an oil painter whose style is described as “imaginative realism.” His studio, Yellow Boat Studio, is located at 1167 Russells Mills Road.

Amy Thurber, a ceramic artist featuring pottery inspired by the garden. Her studio, Doves Foot Pottery, is located at 219 Horseneck Road.

Martin Wood, an acrylic painter specializing in impressionism and expressionism. His studio, art-by-mart, is located at 13 Horseneck Road.
