Southworth Library to host talk on geocaching
Geocaching expert, Tyler Clark, will be at Southworth Library on Saturday, February 18 at 11:30 a.m. to explain how this hobby works and how to become involved.
Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity in which participants use a GPS to hide and seek containers, called geocaches, at specific locations marked by coordinates. The sport has attracted millions since it was first invented in 2000. Clark's talk will be accompanied by slides of his activities.
Clark has been geocaching for almost ten years and has found over 6,000 geocaches in 19 states, as well as hidden more than 600 caches for other people to find.
The program is sponsored by the Friends of Dartmouth Libraries, who invited Clark back to speak for a second year in a row due to the enthusiastic reception he received last year.
The program is free and open to the public. Southworth Library is located at 732 Dartmouth Street.
