Saturday, Aug. 21 

Police relief concert 

The Dartmouth Police Relief Association’s “Concert on the Green” will be held at the Stackhouse Club, 16 Faith St. from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21. The event will feature a family-friendly night of food, drinks, face painting, a bounce house, and Journey covers by the band Worlds Apart. Tickets are $10 for adults and free for kids 12 and under. Tickets will be available at the door.

Yard sale

The Dartmouth Historical & Arts Society will sponsor a yard sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the School House headquarters, 1205 Russells Mills Road. The sale will feature books, household goods and other miscellaneous items. Rain date is Sunday, Aug. 22.

Open farm day tours

Round the Bend Farm, 92 Allen Neck Road, will host open farm day tours Saturday, Aug. 21. At 10 a.m., a guided tour of the barnyard will focus on piglets, goats and cows. The 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. tours include the barnyard, gardens and tiny houses. For more information and to make a tour reservation, which is highly encouraged, visit www.rtbfarmshop.org.

Lobster roll takeout

The Dartmouth Grange is sponsoring lobster roll takeout from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21 at Patrons Hall, 1133 Fisher Road. The event supports the Grange and its service projects. The number of meals is limited so early arrival is encouraged. The meal costs $15 and includes potato chips and a beverage. Cash or checks will be accepted. Exact change will be appreciated.

Sunday, Aug. 22

Chicken barbecue 

The Dartmouth VFW Post #9059 Auxiliary, 144 Cross Road, will host its annual chicken barbecue at 1 p.m. Aug. 22.

The meal will consist of half a chicken, potato salad, corn on the cob, salad and watermelon. 50/50 raffle tickets will also be available for purchase.

Tickets are $18 and can be purchased at the VFW bar. 

Tuesday, Aug. 24

Community band concert

The Dartmouth Community Band will host its season finale weekly free summer concert at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24 at Apponagansett Beach. The concerts are part of the Dartmouth Parks and Recreation Summer Concert Series.

Wednesday, Aug. 25

Beatles close out the season 

The Oh Nos!!! will present a Beatles tribute for the season finale Parks and Recreation department summer concert. The band will entertain from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25 at Apponagansett Park, Gulf Road. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person at the gate, $4 in advance. Children younger than 12 are admitted free
