Stand-up paddleboard.

Try out stand-up paddleboarding with the Lloyd Center and Osprey Sea Kayak Adventures at 9:30 a.m. at the center's 430 Potomska Road location. All the basics will be covered, including equipment, water entry and balance, proper stance and positioning, paddling techniques, and saftey. The Dartmouth Grange will hold its lobster bake at 1 p.m. at Patrons Hall, located at 1133 Fisher Road. The traditional lobster menu will include lobster, sweet corn on the cob, potatoes, watermelon, and a beverage. The event raises funds or the Dartmouth Grange. Tickets are $35 per person, and can be purchased by calling (508) 636-1900.

Spoil your inner foodie.

The Dartmouth YMCA will host a farm-to-table dinner at its 276 Gulf Road location. The event kicks off at 6 p.m., and will include live music, a meal prepared by Black Bass Grille, and auction items such as sporting event tickets, an autographed photo of Tom Brady, and hotel stays. Brush up on your photography skills.

Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary will offer tips for photographing the night sky at its 786 Horseneck Road property starting at 6:30 p.m. The course includes a presentation and discussion on equipment, subjects, camera settings, and post-processing, and ends with an outdoor excursion to test the new and improved skill set. See a puppet show.

The Southworth Library will host Sparky’s Puppets at 2 p.m. at its 732 Dartmouth Street location. The show includes reenactments of “The Three Little Pigs” and other fairytales.
