Get lost in ‘Footloose’

The Dartmouth High Theatre Company will present Footloose at 7 p.m. Shows are also on Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Ticket are $15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors. Visit dhstheatreco.com or call (508) 971-2258 for tickets.

Heal the healers.

South Coast Behavioral Health will host a half-day "Heal the Healers" program at its 581 Faunce Corner Rd. hospital, 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Geared towards first responders, caregivers, and care providers, it will include self-care information, guest speakers, and resources. It is free to attend. Advance registration is required; visit mentalhealthsouthcoast.org to register.

Saturday, May 4

Wake up with the birds.

The Lloyd Center will lead a bird migration walk, 7-9 a.m. at its 430 Potomska Rd. location. The cost is $10 for members, $13 for non-members, and $5 for children under 12. Visit lloydcenter.org to register.

Get your car washed for a cause.

The Dartmouth High National Honor Society will hold a car wash fundraiser in front of Dartmouth Middle school, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Car washes are $5 per car. A bake sale and DJ will also be on site. Proceeds will benefit the American Refugee Committee.

Enjoy lemonade.

Lemonade Day Southcoast returns on May 4. The annual event is intended to teach young children the basics of running a business and entrepreneurship. This year, there will be 21 stands in Dartmouth, including Dartmouth St., State Rd., Carrolton Ave., Allen St., Elm St., Tucker Rd., Milton St., Prospect St., Russells Mills Rd., and Cushman Ln. Check out student design projects.

UMass Dartmouth College of Visual and Performing Arts students will host their Senior Design Exhibition, 1-4 p.m. at the university's main campus CVPA Building. Students from the Animation and Game Arts, Graphic Design, Illustration, and Interior Architecture and Design programs will be showcasing their works.

Sunday, May 5

Walk for Hunger.

Walk with the Sharing the Harvest Community Farm team for Project Bread’s Walk For Hunger from 9 a.m. to noon. The walk will be held at tbe YMCA’s 276 Gulf Rd. location. To donate, register, or for more information visit support.projectbread.org/goto/Sharingtheharvest.

Help a church, go to dinner.

St. Peter’s Church will host a meat and seafood raffle fundraiser from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $5, and gift certificates to area seafood and meat markets will be offered. Sandwiches will be served during the raffle.

Learn about war heroes.

Learn about Maureen Taylor's "Last Muster Project" at the Dartmouth Grange, 1133 Fisher Rd., from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The project uses a collection of daguerreotypes and short videos to document Revolutionary War heroes.

Play Ball!

DYAA Little League’s Opening Day begins at 11:45 a.m. with a ceremony at Crapo Field. Games begin at 12 p.m.
