Friday, Aug. 6 

Travel to art studios 

The annual Art Drive Open Studio Tour returns this weekend.

On Aug. 6, 7 and 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., 32 artists will share their work in an open studio tour event throughout Dartmouth and Westport. 

This event, free and open to the public, is intended to be an opportunity to visit working artists in their unusual and dramatic studio settings, spotted among the area’s villages, farm land and sea coast.

Farmers’ Market offers local produce 

The Dartmouth Farmers’ Market will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6 on the lawn at St. Mary’s Parish Center, 789 Dartmouth St. 

The market offers locally raised meats and eggs, locally grown produce and flowers and crafted food, handmade goods, crafts and art. Local musicians will perform.

Tuesday, Aug. 10

Community band concert

The Dartmouth Community Band will host its weekly free summer concert at 6:30 p.m. at Apponagansett Beach. The concerts are part of the Dartmouth Parks and Recreation Summer Concert Series.

Wednesday, Aug. 11

Go hear Alice

East Coast Alice: The Ultimate Alice Cooper Experience will entertain from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11 at Apponagansett Park, Gulf Road.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person at the gate, $4 in advance. Children younger than 12 are admitted free. A season pass is available for $30.

Advance ticket sales and season passes are available at the town Parks and Recreation Office.
