Indulge in art
The Art Drive will open its creative space to the community for a scenic tour of works from the area’s artists from 10 a.m to 5 p.m Aug. 2 through 4.
Twenty six painters, ceramic artists, photographers, jewelers, fiber artists and woodworkers will offer demonstrations throughout the weekend and provide opportunities for visitors to engage in conversation about their inspiration and craft. Visit the-art-drive.com for a list and map of participating locations.

Movie magic
Youngsters can head to the North Branch Library on Monday, Aug. 5 or the Southworth Library on Thursday, Aug. 8 for a free showing of Disney Pixar 2023 film “Elemental.” Both events are at 2 p.m.
“Elemental” follows the adventures of a fire-type girl and water-type boy in their universe of personified elements.

Party at the park
The Apponagansett Park Summer Concert series returns from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. with Headcase, a six-person dance-rock party band.
Birding with Bogart
Wednesdays are for the birds — at least that’s the case these days at the Lloyd Center. Join Research Associate Jamie Bogart for a walk through South Dartmouth on Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 9 a.m.
Registration is limited and must be completed by Tuesday, Aug. 6 on the center’s website. Members are free and non-members must pay a $5 fee.
