Pass the popcorn
Come on out for a night of movies, games, ice cream and police cars.
The free Summer Outdoor Movie Night co-hosted by the Dartmouth Police Department and Dartmouth Police Athletic League and will take place at Apponagansett Park. 
The gates will open at 6 p.m. and the movie will begin at 7:45 p.m. Popcorn and drinks will be available at no cost.
The department will be showing the 2015 Pixar film “Inside Out.” Attendees are encourages to bring blankets, chairs and bug spray. Carpooling is recommended for parking purposes.

Saturday, Aug. 24

Fun with the family
Join Hope Evangelical Community Church from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 for its annual Family Fun Day.
Families are welcome to join the church at 88 Hathaway Road, where there will be a bounce house, obstacle course, water games, face paint and more.
This event is free and open to the public.

Wednesday, Aug. 21

A rockin’ summer
Two concerts remain in the Apponagansett Summer Concert Series, which takes place each Wednesday in August.
Shows run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. Entry is $5 per person at the gate, kids under 12 are free. The rain date for each show is the following Thursday.
The Aug. 21 concert will feature The Concept, a rock and pop cover band. The Aug. 28 concert will be performed by Get Lucky, dance music, rock and Portuguese hits.
