Things to do: Week of Sept. 14
There’s always a lot to do in Dartmouth. This week, check out a flower show at a local farm and take a tree walking tour around the UMass Dartmouth Campus.
For more information about these events and more, check out dartmouth.theweektoday.com.
(Editor’s Note: The “Things to Do” section of the Sept. 14 print edition of Dartmouth Week featured a 5k fundraiser at UMass Dartmouth scheduled for Sunday. The university has since cancelled the event due to weather concerns.)

Tour an active farm
Once a month, Round the Bend Farm in South Dartmouth opens its gates and trails to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and located at 92 Allens Neck Road. Free tours of the farm are available, and locally farmed produce can be purchased.
Sunday, Sept. 17
Wander through the trees
The Dartmouth Tree Committee will host “A Dartmouth Tree Walk” on Sunday, Sept. 17 on the campus of UMass Dartmouth.
The walk will be led by botanist and professor emeritus James Sears, who first began planting trees at the University in the 1980s, resulting in today’s noteworthy arboretum of nearly 500 trees, both natives and non-natives.
To get to the walk, park in Lot 1, pick up a map and meet at the gathering place for a short introduction and history.
