Dartmouth’s historic Akin House will be open to visitors on Sunday, June 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This event will showcase 18th century artisans and re-enactors, period cooking demonstrations, early tool woodworking, blacksmithing, a hands-on archaeological dig, and period music.

Visitors may tour also the house and view displays of artifacts used by the Akin family over the past two-and-a-half centuries.

The house, which was constructed in 1762, is located at 762 Dartmouth St. Event parking is available on Rockland Street and at nearby Cushman School at 746 Dartmouth St.
