Town Hall to start allowing limited public access

Jun 29, 2020

From June 29 through July 10, Town Hall will be open only to residents paying tax bills due August 3 or to those with mandatory appointments with the Veteran’s Agent and Town Clerk, according to an update posted to the Town of Dartmouth Facebook page.

Access for the Tax Collector’s office will be allowed only through the southernmost front staircase closest to the parking lot entry lane. A town employee will meet residents in the parking lot to direct them.

Appointments with the Town Clerk or Veteran’s Agent must be scheduled directly with those offices and will be limited to those transactions that cannot be conducted remotely. Visitors will be asked to sign a guest log.

Beach passes will continue to be sold from the Parks and Recreation trailer in front of the building.

The update noted that the town government is working to procure barriers and makeshift counter areas to ensure public safety for further reopening phases starting July 13.

The Town Collector’s office can be reached at (508) 910-1806.
