Turn clocks back Sunday morning

Nov 6, 2021

You’ll get an extra hour of sleep Sunday, Nov. 7 but the sun will set earlier when daylight savings time ends at 2 a.m.

When you turn your clocks back, consider checking your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms to ensure they are in good working order. Change batteries if needed.

That could save your life.

According to the National Fire Protection Association, three out of five home fire deaths resulted from fires in homes with no smoke alarms (41%) or no working smoke alarms (16%). Nearly half of the homes with non-functioning smoke alarms had missing or disconnected batteries.
