Two women arrested on shoplifting charges
Two Dorchester women were arrested by Dartmouth Police for allegedly shoplifting over $4,000 of merchandise from multiple retailers located on Faunce Corner Road Friday, July 19, and is believed to be in connection to a larger organized retail crime group, according to Dartmouth Police.
Police responded to the call at Kohl’s at approximately 1 p.m. when the suspects reportedly fled in a dark-colored vehicle, police said. However, Kaytlyn Lynch, 20, and Brooklyn Burns were located shortly after.
Both women admitted to taking merchandise from Kohl’s, and following a brief investigation, police discovered over $4,000 of merchandise from not only Kohl’s but also Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works and Ulta Beauty, according to police.
All the merchandise was returned to the respective stores and the suspects were placed under arrest on charges of two counts of shoplifting over $250 by concealing merchandise and one count of receiving stolen property, police said.
