UMass Dartmouth basketball player named Little East Conference Rookie of the Week
UMass Dartmouth freshman guard Isaac Percy was named as the Little East Conference Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week on Feb. 15 for his performance over the course of three games the previous week.
A native of Pittsfield, Mass. and a graduate of Taconic High School, Percy averaged nine points and 3.7 rebounds on the week, including a career-high 16 points that featured four three-pointers in a 86-75 victory at Keene State on Valentine’s Day. Percy also added nine points, seven boards and two assists the Corsair’s 68-67 home setback to the Owls on Feb. 13, and he connected on five total three pointers for the week.
On the season, Percy has started all six games for the Corsairs and has averaged 6.8 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.
UMass Dartmouth, which holds a half game lead over Keene State atop the Little East standings at 5-1 overall, returns to action on Saturday afternoon for the front end of a home-and-home league set with Eastern Connecticut that tips-off at 1:00 p.m. at Geissler in Willimantic, Connecticut.
