UMass Dartmouth to host 5k to benefit veterans

UMass Dartmouth Student Activities, Involvement, and Leadership Office will host the second annual “Run for Veterans 5K” on campus on Sept. 17 at 9 a.m. The run will take place at the Coach Robert Dowd Cross Country Course. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. on the day of the race. The race will start at 9 a.m. for all runners.
The event is open to the public and attendees must register.
Proceeds from this event will be used to support programming for the UMass Dartmouth Student Veterans' Services Program Fund.
All runners will receive a timing chip to record accurate start and finish times, and medals will be awarded to the top three runners in each age category (Under 14, 15-19, 20-34, 35-49, 50-64, 65+). Snacks will be provided after the run for all participants to recharge. Runners will get a runner's packet, including a custom bib, an event t-shirt, and a special gift.
All runners and other participants should park in Lots 5, 6, or 8 and check in at the track across from Lot 8.
