United Way accepting grant applications from Dartmouth non-profits
United Way of Greater New Bedford has grants available for non-profit organizations in Dartmouth.
Grants are open to non-profit organizations and public entities. Grants range from $10,000 to $25,000. They are intended to be used for operational support to help an organization continue, maintain, or expand already existing programs and services.
Programs and services must align with United Way’s target areas of health, education, and financial stability. They must also be available to residents in United Way of Greater New Bedford’s service area, which includes Acushnet, Dartmouth, Fairhaven, Freetown, Marion, Mattapoisett, New Bedford, Rochester, and Wareham.
Organizations and public entities interested in applying must submit a letter of intent to ayatesberg@unitedwayofgnb.org by February 16 for review by an independent committee.
Letters of intent should be no longer than two pages and include a brief summary of the organization, its mission, the program or service, how the program aligns with United Way’s mission and impact areas, the expected impact of the project and why it is needed, and a brief budget narrative and estimated for the program.
The grants are a departure from United Way of Greater New Bedford’s traditional funding program. Previously, the organization set aside funds for select organizations. Through a new “community impact” model, officials are now making that funding available to organizations from across Greater New Bedford. It is a part of a five-year transition of its funding model.
Contact Allison Yates-Berg with any questions regarding the Community Impacts Grants at (508) 994-9625 ext. 215.

Those intereesting in attending are asked to RSVP by February 2 to Elizabeth. To RSVP, call (508) 994-9625 ext. 219 or email eracemoore@unitedwayofgnb.org.
