Update: Missing woman found and returned home

After a plea to the community and a search, a missing woman with dementia was located and returned home.

At around 9:30 a.m. on February 5, Dartmouth police reported they were conducting an active search for 91-year-old Dorothy Perry. Perry suffers from dementia, and was last heard from earlier in the morning.

At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a purple jacket with a fur-trimmed hood, jeans, and snow boots. She requires the assistance of a walker.

According to scanner traffic, Dartmouth Fire District No. 1 and police responded to Solemar on Seabreeze Drive for the report.

At 12:36 p.m., police reported on Facebook that Perry had been located safe and was returned to her home.
