The Versatile Sweet and Savory Galette

Instructor Viorica Vallery will teach participants how to master the versatile galette, which is a type of rustic old world pie. Learn to make buttery pate brisee as a pastry dough and combine it with vegetables or fruits for a dinner or dessert. The galette can be filled with anything from ham and cheese to seasonal fruits.

The workshop will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Parish House Kitchen behind St. Mary’s Church, and costs $50 for members, $55 for non-members, with a $15 food fee. Registration is required at least five days in advance of the workshop online at dartmouthculturalcenterinc.org or on one of the center’s open registration days.
